How could you not get any benifits from trade goods? That's saying that you don't find a civilization wide 20 bonus to repair or research any good.

The hell was with that "click here" link?!  

I think I know whats going on. I I guessing that he doesn't actually has a problem, and is actually trying to trick people into clicking on that link.

Okay, this is weird... I was in one thread, I make a reply, and it ends up in an entirely different one...

What happens if you trade a trade good? Do you lose its benefit yourself? Is the trade "permanent"?

What you are essentially doing is licensing the use of the trade good to whomever you are "selling" it to. This ability is reserved to the owner of the trade good. The only way you can lose the benefit is if you lose the planet it was built on. Conversely, if you conquer a planet on which a trade good was built you become the new owner of the trade good and acquire the benefit and the ability to "sell" it to anyone who hasn't already been licensed.

As an aside, if you conquer a world on which a wonder has been built, you are now the owner of the wonder and get the benefits thereof.

imho, it would make more sense if they also increased the value of trade routes with the planet on which they were built. as it stands they just feel like any other wonder

Don't get hung up by the title "trade good" - it essentially is a wonder that you can "trade" like a technolgy. They have nothing to do with trade routes - that's for the plebian goods - not the primo secrets that leaders get to leak.....
