fleet logistics

I may be really doing something wrong, but why do I only have 43 logistics points ,after finishing the entire tech tree a long time ago, and yet I am being killed by a fleet of pirates with 125 logistic points and I cant seem to kill them. Is 43 the most points I can get or is there something else I can do. I have already built the hypurion logistics thingamajiggy also.

I think the pirates are a "special case" where they get magic bonuses since they are not a standard "civ".

Collecting alot of anomalies(some may affect logistics), taking logistics in the Abilities setup and some wonders are the ways to get greater logistics points.

you can get higher logistics ratings, but not necessarily in a timely manner. every opponent can build a logistic center which you can grab, they will stack with yours. yor have a base logistic of 8 btw.

in my experience the pirates will have one or 2 battleships, if you take those out they get MUCH easier to finish, just stick in there. don't attack until you have 2 to 3 fleets together if they are giving you that much trouble, that way you don't give them time to repair before you take your next crack at them. if you cant kill off one of those battleships with 2 fleets then you really need to back off and tech up some. get them to chase one fleet around until you are ready to take them out.

thanks.. I am still confused though at their strength. I have completely finished the tech tree and built all possible buildings and yet they have 125 logistic points... ..their fleet started out with 25 ships!! Including two battle ships 4 friggates and a bunch of little snots. thanks again though. I did not know that I could steal other logistic centers to get more points. Their power does seem a bit rediculous though considering I can take in a fleet of ships with the best possible armor and the best of all weapons, and yet they still have killed nearly 7 fleets and I have only taken out 10 of their ships all together. I have also made ships in nearly every combination of armor and weapons I can think of. Just writing this not to whine, but more suggestions would be very welcome. Seems like if you finish all of the techs you should be able to take out a fleet of pirate ships.

Try a bunch of Huge ships with tons of weaponry and defense that might be able to make a diffrence Huge ships can usually pack a big wholup and in the case of defense they are quite good at both if you pack a ton of weaponry you can take things out in one shot usually although you would still kill for some defense because they get a shot at you no matter what in 1.2...

Could you please post a link to a zipped save game? They're very small when zipped.

If you could help guide me to where my saved game files are at I would be more than happy to post a link to them. I was also wrong about them having 125 logistic points...its more like 186, and now there is another group of pirates destroying my battlestations, ships, and planet defenses. This is really enough to make me quit playing the game. I spent all that time researching for nothing.

the p0rqcup and El Cong have great points .....
It IS LIKE THIS:
Use more than one fleet to attack them on the SAME turn .....
To do this use: ===> better ship speed and sensor range ...........
also -> I think AngleWyrm wants a shot at this BATTLE !!!!!!!!!!!!

on how to make a tough to beat fleet.
