An idea to save mouse clicks

I'm a micro manager who hasn't used rally points yet cause i don't want to slow down my attack.

I think i have to do a lot of extra clicks to accomplish what i want. Especially at the beginning of the turn with the production report.

It would be nice if when I click on a ship that has been produced it immediately "goes to" rather than making me do 2 clicks to do this. Also, have a launch option so it immediatly does a "go to" and a "launch" . Saves 2 clicks.

Also the same goes for when I do a launch, How about when i click "launch" -- it goes back to production screen; save another click.

Even better, a launch ships option on the production report screen that cycles from launch screen for 1 ship to the next ship.

Note: i do need to go to the "go to screen" and and the launch screen. I need to be able to change the production from current ship to a different ship at the launch time -- and do need to be able to adjust the amount of colonists on colony or troop ships.

I end up having an awful lot of ships produced every turn and reducing my mouse clicks here whould sure make the gameplay a lot more enjoyable.

Also, it would be nice if we could bring up the producion report screen any time during a move rather than losing it when we close it.

Another mouse clicker saver -- have a button for unzooming mini map ( much smaller issue, hehe ).

I would also like the production report to be accessible through out the turn. Maybe it could be changed so that clicking on the date brings up the report again.

This would be a very nice addition for 1.3 or maybe one of the expansion packs!

Thanks

Heh, i was just thinking while playing and thought that if we had a screen like the civilization manager but for our ships it would be easy to do most of the stuff i want -- justb need someway to cut down on all the clicks.

Another thing i spend a lot of time doing is adjusting specialized production on the civilization manager screen. Would be nice if they could automate it a bit. Specifically say i have social production at 100% ; have a key i hit for research and one for military production where it'll turn specialization on for any planet where it does not change the turns for the current production on that planet. And a key to turn off all specialization -- hate having to click em all off. Think how easy it'ld be -- 1st click turn off all specialization; 2nd click turn research specialization on where it doesn't hurt social production; 3rd click turn on military production where it doesn't hurt social production; 4th click, i'm outta the screen -- nice and easy even when i got 100 worlds. Just have a lock key to pick to pick which category is used for checking against when percentage isn't set at 100% ( have 1 of the categories locked at all times -- so you just choose which is locked )

One note: the little blue squares that go down the right side of your screen to tell you that a ship has been completed -- if you right click on it, it will auto-launch the ship.

I am the same way, so when i "found" on the right hand screen (beneath all the little boxes)there are two little boxes (cant remember the colours), one is a check mark and an x, those come in handy when wanting to "auto-launch."

I would like the autolaunch button be on GNI. You could have one at the top which launches all and one for each planet where there is a launchable ship.

We also need to be able to save and use building queues. Almost always I start
building 3 or 4 factors with a social focus.

It would be nice if we could save queues (production lists).

Stars! did a nice job of this.

Ah, that's what those blue squares are -- have to look at em. But i do want to be able to change ship production at the same time i launch a newly produced ship.

And for the 43rd time make the planet list (associated with the planet button
on the left) sticky--like the planet list in the stat area.

I am getting arthritis, constantly starting at the top.
