Population stuck thgouh approval rating 100%

and max pop not reached

I,

On my mother planet Earth (PQ10), the population is stuck at 17.42, though the screen shows approval rating of 100% (I had added several improvements to keep high approval).
I built several farms and food should allow 29, so even taking into account the max pop for a PQ10 (I read it should be around 26), I'm far from these limits.
Other planets are growing but not this one !
Any idea what can happen and how to fix it ?

(I use v1, not yet upgraded to 1.2, and I play (still) as Beginner)

I think there is a maximum population for a planet based on it's PQ, I don't know what the PQ 10 planets' max pop is, but it might be that.

26.62 for a PQ 10 planet. there is a bug that denies you the bonus from an improvement if you finish building immediatly after you upgrade the tech. seeing as how your just about 10b from your target i am guessing you had this problem. do NOT destroy any of your old farms, but add one additional one to see if that gets your pop growing again. this is suggested as a test, not a solution. if it IS the cause you can consider loading a save before you got the farm techs and go from there.

i should mention that there is not that much benefit from having that many ppl on a planet that size, but perhaps your trying for more influence...

i don't usually put that many ppl on a planet less than PQ 15. you get more money by adding stock markets. ppl for infuence or troops tho may be good reasons in your situation tho.

agreed.

You shouldn't be saying there is a bug if your using out of date stuff.
Its like people who complain about the game and they post there debug and there vid. drivers are from 1992

I do believe this is a bug. I am upgraded to 1.2 but there are times when my population never reaches max potential. Even on my small planets where the max population is 5 Billion sometimes it stops at 2.5 Billion even though I have 100% approval. Anyone else have this problem?

Never seen it myself. Recognize that PQ4 planets are capped at 2.6 Bil, PQ5 planets are capped at 4.3 Bil. That is their max potential.

But the OPs problem is unusual--the max capacitiy of a PQ10 planet is around 26 Bil. So it shouldn't stall at 17 Bil with enough farms and morale.

...Unless it is the dredded lost production bug.
