Altarians breed like rabbits??

Is it just me or have other people noticed that after just a few turns the altarians have expanded to all most half the map while myself and other races are left with a few planets?i always play on gigantic on tough and a above.

unless they get cornered, yea. they seem to do a good job during the rush in my games too, making them one of the main threats. if they are not next to me i don't have much problem with them, but when are i have to worry. other races seem to do better in the endgame tho.

I hate the Altarians. I got 5 planets and they had about 25. Luckily they declared war on another race and left me alone long enough to get some military research done in case they decided to push my luck.

Altarians are always quick at expanding, it's just a part of the game, like the Iconians getting wiped out very early on.

the torians seem pretty good at that too. They are both very powerful on my current game (but will die nonetheless )
