I wouldn't mind seeing that as a TV show. It'd be cool to see a "flying zoom in shot" of a race homeworld from far out in space to the the panoramic view of a civilization's capital like Drengin or Yor, though this would seem too expensive for a TV show but it still would be better as a TV series though.

Just don't make it a cartoon where it ends up corny and crappy with only Space Ghost to bring it back to some sort of infamy.

Please not another poor american made series.

Give us something superior than a simple poor series for such a great titles.

A movie is more appropriate, a movie made by the greatest team you can find for that kind of movie...

While GalCivII is a great game, I have to look at the times that games have been turned into movie and TV series, and vice versa. Very rarely does something actually make a good translation from one media to the other.

If it were to be made into a series or movie I would perfer it to be one made by the community on the net. Sort of like how the seriers Red vs Blue started.

I think instead of amovie, a series of books should be made. It's cheaper and is less likely to be screwed up by a poor American TV/movie studio.

You do need quite a bit of money to run a Sci-Fi movie or TV show. Even more so making it good is a problem. Another thing is, the game's plot is sort of a cliche of many sci-fi plots. Many have this thoery of us humans inventing "hypderdirve" and going through this colonization period all around the universe. Next thing you know we run into some aliens who don't like us, some that do and theres a galactic war. Its been done a hundread times...

The translations to the big screen that are poor are due to budget, actor and script issues. Many of the games have a great premise, but you'd think that someone didn't even bother to play or understand what they're translating.

Done like FarScape (following certain characters in the universe) and interacting with the entire evolving wars and diplomatic issues -- it could be very entertaining. Don't start off with love shtick and concentrate on developing the characters, how they fit in and what's going on .. and then let the story flow with more intimate issues.

Otherwise it may as well be Mr. Bean in space, because at least I'd laugh at that.

Maybe make something like red vs blue with halo... Use the game itself to make it?
