AI won't research Discovery Spheres

Maybe its just a higher priority for you then for them. Theres a lot of thechs the AI rarly reaserchs in a timly matter, their tech stratagies are not diverse enough in my opinion.

In one of my recent games the Altarians won a technological victory. So it does, indeed, research them. Of course, at higher difficulty levels the AI's priorities could be different.

Speaking of a tech victory, I can't bring myself to turn anything on other then conquest victory ever since I played a gigantic uni for a week and won on influence. I love the fact that you can win without much of a military but it doesn't feel right if I don't pound everyone into oblivion.

Right, but I've ONLY seen them research it in preparation for a tech victory. With tech victory off, they'll research literally everything else before going for discovery spheres. And I mean EVERYTHING... see, I like the Battle of the Gods scenario, but I don't want to play humans, so I'm going through my current game with planets all over the place and Fastest tech.

They simply will not research discovery spheres unless they have no other option (or are going for Tech Victory). I still think it's a bug.
