Help with modding a planet

I tried searching for this in the tutorial but couldn't find anything on it. I just want to know how to add a resource to a planet, like the research bonus 100% thing. Thanks in advance.

More accurately: You can, but you need a fair bit of expertise, because you have to tweak the save files. That, and you need more characters installed than XP standard, because my save files contain a LOT of encrypted characters.

If you're making a scenario, can you set what bonuses are on which planets? Just out of curiousity.
