Beta 5 bug reports

Sometimes next turn begins before I get a chance to move all my ships, in this case, a Constructor.

Couple more problems:

1) After loading an autosaved saved game (due to a CTD) one of my starbases had lost all improvements including the loss of the resource beneath it.

2) On the details screen for a colony, a slider bar is needed. Once a few bonuses appear, the textual description of the colony has some of the text unreadable.

I was used to using the space bar to go to next turn, but I tried 2 times in the new beta and it immediately dropped me out of the game! :p I can still use it to skip ship movement, but when a ship isn't selected it appears to crash...did twice to me anyways.
And holy moly, the Alterians found some major power source and I was warned that if they weren't taken out they would only get more powerfull, QUICKLY, as time went on. Suddenly, within 3-4 turns, they've colonized just about all the left over good planets. I am (or was) in the middle of a war myself and every planet my enemy had was taken over by the Altarians too! I think I might be in trouble, as I was spending on the war (a very minor war) and can't afford a war with the MIGHTY Altarians. Guess it's time to kiss their butt!
:)
Never seen this before...nice change!

Ted, could you describe this in more detail.

ARe you saying you have several ships that need to be moved that aren't on autopilot and after you finish moving one of your ships the next turn automatically starts?

Kyle: Yea, had that problem. Think I just fixed it here.

Yes. I had several ships that just left orbit and I never got a chance to move 1 constructor when the next turn began. I had set 'skip remain moves' to off.

Aha, ok. I ran into this today too. We're looking into it.

I received "reports of confused alien creatures wondering into populated areas. While most of these animals are unconfrentational, . . ." Besides the typos (wandering and nonconfrontational), this occured on Sol. Did these animals escape from a zoo, or are they pets that were let go like flushed baby alligators? LOL

For now, just don't use the space bar.

Mike: You apparently got the United Planets zoo.

No vote came up on the UP zoo. Did there need to be? I've heard that the UP zoo is bad news and would have quit the UP before taking the chance on getting it.

UP zoo is a good thing IMO. It's been toned down from previous betas.

Space bar appears to work if a ship is selected and you want to skip moving that ship that turn...otherwise I've been afraid to use it. :)

i also had ted's problem, when i launched new ships, right after completing the planet screen, all the autopilot ships went and the next turn came up, I fixed it by turning off auto pilot. I haven't seen this yet in the new upload (saturday night's) I'll see if it happens again.
