UI modding with DesktopX

I have just done my first mod, it is a race mod and I now wish to mod the UI. I have downloaded DesktopX and opened one of the .dxpacks and am clueless of what to do.

Sorry if its really simple, but I am a novice to modding.

This is also needed for the Mod im working on, some clues would be appreciated.
There isnt much in the way of instructions provided with the program.
