Will Collectors edition stuff be available in Dark Avatar?

I don't have the collectors edition ya see

I was just wondering if the expansion has any of the stuff that came with the collectors edition. I didn't get it and feel I missed out on a bunch of cool stuff and I hope that that content is in the EP

The in-game content from the collectors edition is included free in the later patches, so if you have updated you already have it.

The Collector's Edition comes with a fold-out paper technology tree, with warfare-based technology on one side and everything else on the other side. There might have been other things that I don't remember.

And, FYI, it cost the same as the original, at least for me

what about special hulls/items for ship building?

All you listed. However, due to a cock up from the distributors, Stardock gave out the jewellery and everything else to whoever had a CE code, then decided to put the jewellery on the update anyway.

The theme for windows (which I still use) and the map are unique to CE. The in-game stuff is for all.

It shouldn't need researched. If it doesn't show up there already and you have 1.2, check the downloads page of the site here. The CE content unlocker should be available in the CE section there.

Found it! Thanks for the hint. I got the CE Unlocker and will install it in a few mins.
