new fleet combos

i think that you should be able to include in a fleet the base and frieghter.

but said fleet once made would not be able to be broken and this would do away with the national border that eveyone has been talking about.

the ships assigned to the frieghter stay with it in when it goes mini they go too

the ships assigned to the base would patrol around base out to its peremiter

the ships assigned to the base could be upgraded and replaced if killed or added to as the game progresses

this would give the military base a real reason to be there

I just assign a heavy fighter squadron to each base module going out. builds up the base and it's not just sitting defenseless waiting to be blown outta the sky to impede your expansion.

Putting starbases in fleets make no sense at all. From a fleet standpoint that is absurd. I can imagine the U.S. Navy taking Norfolk Navy yard along with a carrier battle group. *sigh*

they may not take the shipyard along with them but they do have ships permently assigned to its defense and those ships do not sit in the harber but patrol outside of it so as that they can intercept bad guys whomever they might be

i draw your memory back to dec 6 1941 pearl harber when a us destroyer sunk a jap sub just outside of the harbour
