Keyboard according to the manual

The keyboard shortcuts, according to the manual (version 1.0), says that pressing enter or ESC closes the current screen. However, regardless of what screen I have open ESC opens the configuration panel, and enter ends my turn.

Is there an updated manual? Why is this not working?

LOL good luck trying to get an updated list of HOTKEYS. Over the past months, I've written at least 4 posts requesting ANY kind of UPDATED hotkey list and what did I get?.... **cricket, cricket**

Really? That's surprising. I just bought this game online because of the solid reputation Stardock has of supporting its customer base. So I am a little surprised to hear this, and lack of an updated manual.
