Rally point bug in 1.2 final

Did a fresh install of GC2 but still these bugs exist.

- When selecting a rally point for planet sometimes the builded ships don´t go to the rally point location. They launch off the orbit but the rally point is not selected for the ship. This happens in later of the game. Early on the rally points work fine.

- When movig a rally point, ships heading towards the old location don´t update their rally point and stop moving. Also happens later in the game.

This is a time-out bug with the pathfinding algorithim on larger maps. Basicially the ship TRIES to go there, but if it can't recalculate the route in a few milliseconds, it gives up.

Were looking for(and will be working on) a solution that won't make the game run sluggishly.

Thanks for the info BoogieBac!

It´s not a total game killer, but hopefully you guys can fix it. After this one is fixed the game is going to run very smoothly. Only micromanagement there will be left are the star bases. Keep it up SD

There is more to this bug, if you start a trade route from one corner of a gigantic galaxy to the other, the freighters never move from the home world, so you get minimum revenue each turn. In addition, if you click on the planet, you get the ship stack info in the bottom of the display, where the planet is one of the 'ships', and the freighters are the others. This disables the quick access to the shipyard and other useful things.

By the way, that pathfinding algorithm is screwy, it can't find a path two tiles away in under a few miliseconds??

Actually, come to think of it, this does seem to happen more to ships with more movement points. They often refuse to go to a rally point which is reachable even within one turn.
