I usually set the sliders to 70% Research and 15% for the other two and leave them. Then I adjust up the Industrial Spending slider up as I can afford it.

I found one in my first game of V1.2 as well. There was also a Precursor Mine. In fact, I think there has been one Precursor Mine in about half the games I have played. My computer seems to interpret 'Rare', or whatever they are supposed to be, as meaning only one per game ... but the Mine usually shows up, and I would bet the Library will too.

I just hope they never show up on anyone's homeworld, mine included. That is too unbalancing.

I got one THE FIRST TRY with 1.2.. This was on my HOMEWORLD!.....I guess this will be a common occurrance now **cringing at the though of 9 A.I.'s getting it in my next game**

I never saw one before in over 20 games I've played since buying the game.

I have seen a class 13 world with 700%, 300%, and 100% Manufacturing bonus tiles. The Arceans built an economic capital on it.... and their manufacturing capital on Kona, go figure. If someone can show me how to post an image (already took the screenshot), that would be great.
