Ships look scrambled on the ship design screen

Hello. I like this game, but I'm running into a small problem. The ships on my ship building screen and in the control panel look scrambled. The only way to know what type of ship they are is by selecting each one anr read the description. I would like this game a lot more if this were to be fixed. (Yes I have all the patches)

Please post the contents of your debug.err file (found in c:/program files/stardock/totalgaming/galciv2 )
If you can, please upload a screenshot to ImageShack (or another image hosting service) and link to it.

If you haven't done so already, please make sure your video drivers are up to date.

Why do most people automatically assume any problem they encounter is due to buggy programming? For the most part many problems can be fixed by updating drivers...

What about if you did disabled performance for no ship textures.


Also, what are the best things to disable in the performance options for speeding up performance? And what for using the least memory?
