Reproducable CTD and savegame

Hi,
I recently encountered an annoying ctd which i luckily had a savegame for right before the actions that cause it. I'm not exactly well versed in how to report bugs, so if someone could tell me what i should be including and where i should be sending stuff to, i'd appreciate it.

Lazarous,

Do you have SmartException installed and did it give a report of the crash?

I believe that this is the link to the correct version:

www.stardock.com/temp/smartexception.exe

If it is the correct version and you don't have any problems installing it, it will pop up a dialog when galciv crashes.

On the dialog will be a button that says SmartException. Click that and it will bring up a dialog window with a list of crash logs. Click Open Log directory. That will bring up the folder with the log files in it. The file that we need is galciv.exe.cra. You can e-mail it to me at [email protected]

I also appreciate a description of what you were doing at the time (was it the end of the turn, were you moving ships, etc) and your save game files if you can reproduce the crash.

If you send in a save game file, you need to zip in a file both the .sav file in the savegame directory and the corresponding folder with its contents.
