OK I've seen this posted before but have not heard if its been fixed.

I'm near the end of the game and want to get the black hole eruptor before its over so I shut down military and social and go 100% research.

Soon as I do this I end up -2147744739... even though I still have have an income of 1500 BC a turn.

I believe this actually had a negative effect on my overall score when I submitted it for the metaverse

Have you ever read the replies about the need to bump ? You seriously need to do that..

Let's be realistic, it *isn't a bump* if you reply to it straight away. It's not bringing it back to the front page. If anything, it's spam - but since you need to do it, people will keep doing it.

I've have not had that specific problem, but sometimes my production will shut down for no reason and suddenly I'll be losing 1500 per turn, then next turn, I'll be gaining 1500, but my treasury will decrease, etc. This happens when I have a large treasury and all planets are building social and military so there is no reason for production to shut down.

Hobbes277,

Do you have any autosaves or saved games before this happened? I've seen the posts about this bug and have tried many times to get it to reproduce, but cannot.

There must've been something which either took a huge amount away from you or gave you such a huge amount that your money went negative ( like an odometer rolling over back to zero )

Can you think of any random events that happened before you noticed this?
Were there any trades made with the AI?
Did you upgrade any ships?

Any information you or any one else can provide that helps to reproduce this problem would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I have an autosave just before it occured and an end game save that I can send you. I had 30462 BC accumalted at the time when I switched to 100% research and there were no ramdon events, no trades with the AI and I did not do any ship upgrades at the time it occured.

Please let me know where to send them and how do I locate the save games

Most of the time your saved games will be in your /My Documents/My Games/Galciv2 folder.

Please send your games to [email protected] and include a link back to this forum thread in your message. Thanks.
