The benefits of being good, neutral or evil?

which do you choose and why?

I'm mostly looking for responses from people who ethically align themselves as good or evil, as i'm neutral every single game and I am so because of the neutrality learning centers. What are the specific benefits to being good or evil? What specific technologies to they unlock?

If you're playing the game right, NLC's advantage for neutral civs can be nurfed by a booming economy and 1 or 2 mined tech resources. Evil, on the other hand, offers you free starbase upgrades, (hells yea, everyone's a battle station now ) and killer extra weapons.

I always hear people complaining of bankruptcy and never having enough money in this game, and it flaberghasts me... I mean am i the only one that's grossing 400bc a turn at about 2228? 1000bc a turn around mid 2229, and well over 4000-6000bc a turn after 2231?? (Large Map) Come on! it's not that hard! If you master your economy, you WILL rule the game. Money is ALWAYS power. Maybe i should write a how-to guide on economies.

Not a bad idea. I'm racking in a little under 2k per turn with my current game, though I forget the date. Bankruptcy used to be a big problem, but now I don't think I could if I tried. And the weird thing is, I don't know what I'm doing differently...

Oh yes! Forget the military techs to begin with, just focus on the resource ones. If you're ever feeling short, work on morale and crank up the taxes. I'm at 80% odd taxation with 75% morale.

As for G/N/E... haven't tried Good yet. Neutral is quite nice due to free terraforming without needing all the techs, but an orbital terraformer easily solves that. Evil is v-e-r-y nice, though. Never mind the psionic weapons, let's go through it:

1. Free starbase upgrades.
2. No Mercy Invasion centre: even when you're racking in the cash, free tactics are nice.
3. Plus just the general nice feeling when everyone is smarming up to you... knowing that with a click of the mouse you can set their destruction under way. Unstoppably.

If your good you get to sing kom ba ya with your allies.

If your evil you get to eat puppies for breakfast while your slave rubs your feet.

If your neutral you say "eh?" and then watch TV.

I paly as all 3.
a love the mind control center! +100% econ on all planits = 20K a turn.
but the free teraforming is to sweet tto pass up.
