Galactic Privateer Bug

I trade a lot so one of my first priorities is to protect my trade routes. The Galactic Privateer works however every time an enemy attempts to take out a freighter I am forces to sit and watch for a few minutes.

That is really annoying isn't it? Look at it this way - it lets you know where there's an enemy ship to kill.

Bump de bump bump bumpy

I played the game today with v1.2 beta in the campaign mode vs the dread lords (apocalypse). I got tired of my routes being continually nerfed so i built the privateer. Now every time a dread lord attacks one of my freighters the view zooms to that position and i can't move the camera away for a period of a couple of minutes. The freighter isn't destroyed, it just looks as if its about to be attacked then isn't. This is incredibly annoying as my freighters are being attacked every turn and i'm forced to sit and wait for 2-3 minutes.

I've been reading around in the forums and apparently this bug has been mentioned before but was fixed by allowing enemy ships to destroy freighters and respawning a new freighter at the home planet of the trade route. Whether this fix didn't compensate for the campaign, or has just reoccured with the upgrade to 1.2, i don't know. All I know is that it's immensely irritating and could do with some attention.

If there are any devs reading, or if anyone else has had a similar experience with this problem please reply.

If you turn off the option that makes the camera focus on attacks, does that stop it? (Or does it just keep you in the dark too much?)

It does seem to stop the long pause problem...and as long as you keep on your toes its not too much of a pain to deal with. However I notice that the dread lords still seem to pay a lot o undue attention to my freighters...i had about 20 dread lord ships staying a square behind each of them...quite a big AI bug there as those frigates were fairly useless untill they came within range of one of my planets, destroyed all the ships around it then resumed freighter stalking...
