Difficulty levels for each race??

I can never set a specific difficulty level fo each race since the main difficulty bar overides the individual ones. My question is this? why have the option to set the individual settings if it's not going to work?

It works if you set the individual difficulty to less than or equal the base difficulty. You can't set them higher is all.

This is useful for cheese eaters to start with a dumb, weak civ to pick on first.

are you sure, i set the Arceans to fool and everyone else to bright and yet the Arceans still seemed to be as clever as everyone else

I agree with Zaphod.. it just dosn't work no matter how you set it. It's always the same intelligence for everyone.

i set all of them to sub-normal by accident, and i was neutral and one of the races wouldn't ally with me until i gave him a planet, even though he was already friendly with me
