Stardock: PLEASE allow for automatic launch from planets

It is very annoying, not to mentined a waste of time, to have to go to every planet and launch a ship on a planet-by-planet basis. There should be an option to launch a ship when deveoped.

There is. You just right-click the corresponding blue icon on the right side of the screen.

There's also a "Set Rally Point" option from the Shipyard, so you can not only automatically launch ships from a specific planet, but have them go to a set location anywhere on the map and then take a specific action (i.e., "Wait", "Assemble into a Fleet", or "Auto Attack").

Very useful for assembling strike fleets without the micromanagement.

Both answers are correct, but I agree with the original poster that an "auto-launch" checkbox for each planet (just like the one in GalCiv 1) would be a good addition.

In the latest 1.2.009 (and maybe .008, didn't get that one), you can launch all ships from the icons on the right. They added a new blue launch one and a new red close one so you can just close them all out. It's very easy to click the wrong one, but oh well. It IS there.

My slightly-tangential gripe is Transport ships. I build them with multiple modules, but if I'm not watching they auto-launch way-undercapacity.... I had at least one invasion that failed because it turned out there was almost nobody on board.

I'm always stuck launching them separate. Sometimes the planet has plenty of people to fill it.... it would be nice if there was an option to max fill Transports. If I didn't want them that full, I wouldn't have put the troop modules onboard.

If I understood the original poster right, it's about a checkbox or something similar that is meant to auto-launch all ships that are build afterwards on a given planet without extra clicks. I support this idea, just like it was back in GalCiv 1.

They always launch at full capacity if you have the population to do it. But if the population is under the troop carrier capacity there are not enough to do it.

You can't launch troops that you don't have. That would be a neat trick, but it just won't work.

No, they don't.
For example if I quick-launch a colony ship (max 500m) built on a planet with maybe 1b pop, it will fill it with 200m people or some other number that isn't max.
Though I quite like it the way it is as in my example, I wouldn't probably have wanted to fill it completly anyways.
