what is BETA?

everyone seems to be talking about the BETA versions of GAL CIV 2. BUT WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?, SHOULD I HAVE IT?

I NEED ANSWERS!

It is the pre-release of an official patch. It is experimental and usually they have a few bugs; if that worries you, don't use the BETAs, wait for the official patch.

Yeah, some Betas can cause headaches, but if you are having problems now you might want to try it out and see if the Beta works for you.

The 1.12. 009 Beta is a real change in how the game works in terms of its combat system and AI effectiveness.

It is mosty stable and if it works for you, it is a greatly improved experience. You may experience occasional crashes or problems. But if it starts up for you it seems to be stable.

THe final non beta version of 1.2 will be probably ready in a couple weeks.

Beta versions are pre-official-release versions of a patch which often have a few bugs - the main point of them is so that players who want to can download it both to get an early look at the patch and to help the developers catch any bugs it might introduce so they can fix it before the final, official version.

if you dont mind the possibility of bugs, get it. otherwise wait a few weeks for the official version
