By lucky I do not mean the rare few and far between. I consider anyone lucky that has zero problems, that's all. I am not one of the lucky in that regard, although I have very few problems. The only issues I have had are the occasional flip out to the desktop or the sometimes choppy audio as I am loading a game. Nothing I am inclined to rant and rave about. And there is probably some percentage of gamers out there that suffer the same types of things and don't report them, but just take it in stride.
But there are a significant few that have serious problems, and many more with more glitchiness than me. And I do know how to take care of, and configure computers. For 10 years I was the sole tech and builder for a company that speciallized in desktop video editing computers.
From that experience I can understand both the lucky few that have no problems and the unlucky few that have many. It is not always as simple as it may seem. A different version BIOS or driver can make a lot of difference. Just moving a PCI card to a different slot can make all the difference because of how IRQ's are shared.
There are literally an infinite-1 number of variables in the PC world, any of which may cause or solve a problem. It is not always a coding error or user error that can be pointed to as the culprit.
And with all that, the Stardock team has to put up with neophites and ignorants, that have no understanding of what actually goes into solving every little problem, downing them and the company because not enough time can be put aside during regular business hours to do the impossible task of making a game that is compatible on 100% of the machines out there. I have seen insulting posts about the fact that the Stardock team puts in personal afterhours and weekend time, just to make this a better product.
Try getting that kind of dedication any where else in the industry. I have yet to see it.
And this OP that is so pompous in his own wonderful computing abilities that he can state that all the problems are by ignorant computer users?
Just more of the same from the other side of the fence.
