Espionage by minor races

Not much good to me....

Every now and then I see a movie saying that a certain minor race has stolen all of a major races technologies and would like to trade them for planets. There's just a slight snag and it's that tech trading is turned off so the only way I can actually acquire any of those techs is to invade them. Perhaps the blurb that goes along with the movie should be altered to reflect this

Do you have version 1.2? That event should be disabled in version 1.2 if tech trading is turned off.

Hello, ok if I have tech tradine enabled and I get the movie that the Minor Race just stole the tech of another race and want to trade for a system, how do I initiate the trade? I tried talking to them but they didnt seem interested in trading tech for a planet or 2 in the same system

Try making them a better offer then, or asking for fewer of the techs. The event doesn't change the values of planets or techs, it just gives them lots of techs. You still have to pay just as much to trade them as you would anyone else.
