Mini freighter killed my fleet! 1.2b1 009

When i tried to attack a zero attack mini freighter with a fleet of 5 small ships with attack rating of 12 and defense rating of 0, both the freighter and my fleet were destroyed! there was no military base around and the frieghter could never kill more than one ship, even if it got any weapons, b4 getting destroyed. i reloaded a few times and it keeped on happening.

it was a super attack freighter..... no really, even if it kept doing it after the save, thats a bug of some kind, at least i really hope it is, post a debug err here and send the save file and an explanation to stardock.

I lost a frigate while attacking a freighter. I heard the sound of plasma weapons when I attacked, but any time I looked at the other freighters on that trade route, none of them were armed.

wonder if it could be military bases. I know that when I upgrade my bases my freighters show the upgrade. Maybe when you attacked they received the base bonus. If this is not the case then it is a bug. Although I am not sure if bases are supposed to upgrade ships with no weapons. That may be a bug as well but I am not sure.

Did the enemy civs have the galactic privateers Wonder? or was there that law about protecting freighters that also taxes every trade route?

Maybe this is a feature, does it happen for every freighter you destroy?

NO Military base around, as i said above. even if it got any attack power it wont be able to kill one ship and survive another combat round with 1 HP.
NO galactic privateer was build yet.
NO UP law as far as i can remember. i will look for it though.
and it was the only freighter i tried to destroy.

Similar but totally different. The Arceans have been attacking me with transports with 0 troups... Amazingly they still kill some of my population... Guess it is just from fear!

The problem occurred when attacking a mini-freighter would also result in a trade route with you being cancelled.
This has now been fixed. Thank you for reporting it to us.
