Mysterious More CPU to AI option

Good changes in 1.2beta but the option to enhance the AI is still not visible.

I found the following entries in screens.str

[GameOptions] Game Options:
[DisableTechTrading] Disable Tech Trading
[BlindExploration] Blind Exploration
[EnableMinorRaces] Disable Minor Races
[AllowCPUIntensiveAlgorithms] Allow AI to use CPU-Intensive Algorithms

[VictoryConditionDescriptionHeader] Ways to Win:\n
[ResearchVictoryDescription] + Research the ultimate technology and transcend mortality.\n
[CulturalVictoryDescription] + Use your influence and trade to achieve cultural supremacy.\n
[AllianceVictoryDescription] + Forge alliances with the other major civilizations.\n
[MilitaryVictoryDescription] + Crush all those who oppose you.

The forth option in each entry isn't shown in the game. There are only the first three visisble.
I think that's why devs say it's implemented and players say it isn't. It's there, we just can't activate it
like we cannot deactivate Military Victory.

I tried to change order and fiddled around with the resolution but no effect at all. Hopefully it can be fixed
in final 1.2.

Your observation isn't entirely true: Military victory cannot be deactivated (on purpose), but the text is shown when you deactivate all other victory options.

The devs are aware that the AI-CPU option isn't in the game, and Cari said it hasn't been abandoned.

Discovered this at the moment, entry reads DescriptionHeader, if some could read. Too late to edit. Thanks to let me now that they're working on it.

You will find this line in the Prefs.ini:
AllowCPUIntensiveAlgorithms=0

Unfortunately, if you set it to 1 it resets itself back to 0.

So it does not appear that it is quite implemented yet.
And that line has been in there since version 1.1.

All of us with enough CPU power to take advantage of it are awaiting eagerly, I'm sure. I know I am.

I thought that the cpu intensive algorithms are not completely implemented in 1.2. Didn't they say that it only could be used in a later version?

Graviton, we'll see about that. Right now it's only the first beta version for 1.2, I hope it'll get added later for 1.2.
Hell, I'd really play on the smallest map size necessary to give the AI all the time it needs!
