Beta 1.2 bugs

First bug is that in the mod, the leader has been changed. This only works during race select, and then reverts to Alan Bradley's picture. Also, instead of the planet intended names for Earth, the Sun is now Earth, Earth is now Earth, and Earth 2 is mars, etc.

Other than that, the log rules, as does the new UI. EDIT: Ok, partly my stupidity here. I forgot to wipe customrace0 files, and it seemed to screw it up. You need to delete any terran race files or the mod won't work, and just calls everything "Earth"

Ummm...it was working for me...

Must be something in the prefs.ini file that didn't get updated.

Try clearing out the values for LastRace, PlayerRace, and PlayerEmpire.

I'm getting something similar... maybe it's supposed to be this way, I don't know, but I'm trying the mod and Caria Prime has the Earth texture, and my home system secondary planet is Mars. I'll try deleting raceconfigs and such...

Edit: Deleted files, same behavior. Not a big deal, just thought maybe something isn't working right--I thought from the changelog that the new race in the mod has a home planet texture of the Stardock logo?

Veblen: By the look of the xml, there is a new planet, it just isn't anyone's homeworld.

I'm currently trying out my own mod (in other words: the example with my own race, and some new tech) and I'm getting instant CTD's, 4 times in a row.

Normal Game, Huge Map, after picking the opponents it goes to Loading, runs about 15 seconds, and crashes.

Apparently this new feature is what is causing my system to crash:

Replaced old planet "sphere.X" file (which cinsisted of an gluttinous 4500 polys!) with a new 1000 poly model (making gigantic maps much peppier)

Not a big deal, but when running the mod, chosing expansionist govt type, not all of the political parties will show up on the screen during a vote, no biggie! handy up/down arrows to see the vote counts.. except the down arrow does not work.

Also, the use every hull type doesnt seem to be working either as a "tech" - least wise for me.

I can't seem to find "Political Capital" planet improvement after researching star democracy? That was in one game. I'll see if it happens in the next.

It looks like cheat mode stops working if you reload a save file. They work in a new game, but once you save, quit and restart, they no longer work.

I started a custom race, and was configuring its abilities, when I noticed that I had +20 to Loyalty (“Loyalty (+20)” on the right list), when no points have been assigned to any box for loyalty. When I assigned a point to “Mostly Faithful +10%”, the left list updated to show “Loyalty +10%” like it should, and when I removed that point from the right it correctly updates to left to show “Loyalty” with no bonuses. Why then was it getting +20% to begin with?

The same with Soldering. It shows a 25% Bonus when no points have been assigned to that ability. When I assign a point and remove it, then the ability shows 0.

This seems repeatable.

There is also a parse error for PlanetContextWnd.dxpack. It may be corrupted.

Please try reinstalling in order to get a non-corrupt version of these files.

Spleeze, custom races have a built in bonus to both loyalty and soldiering, the same way the Drath have a built in defence bonus etc.

It's just a little extra to play with. Not a bug.

Follow autopilot ships option is not working. Ships are not followed regardless of the check state.

I started a new metaverse game and I noticed that my neighbor's race is 'custom race'! I find this opponent a little too generic.
