I have been playing Galciv2 on version 1.1 for a while now and have noticed some odd bugs:
1.) When invading an enemy planet early on in the game where I have a much higher tech level than the enemy and I invade with only 1 billion 'troops' and the enemy planet has around 8 to 10 billion and I win, I have found that the computer gives me 1000 times more colonists after the battle than I invaded with. This is far more than the planet can support and for the next 2 turns, my influence almost takes over the galaxy. Then 2 turns later, the planet resets to the maximum number of colonists. Odd.
2.) When I give ships to a new race that the computer added to the game, it does not use them. I even tried moving the ship right next to their home world, then giving it to them. It just sits there leaving the home world undefended as other enemy races keep invading. Odd.
3.) The icon for the 3rd available research center is the same as one of the entertainment complex icons on the planet's surface, making it hard to distinguish between the two.
4.) When I have a fleet of ships and click on the details button, I have to scroll through all my ships to find the ones in the fleet that I clicked details for. Shouldn't I just be able to see the ships in that fleet?
5.) When I defeat an alien civilization, they are still showing up in several of the graphs, especially the graphs on the united planets council (or whatever it's called).
6.) I am restricted in placing any type of starbase too close to another one, but I find that the other computer controlled races are building them right next to each other and don't seem to have the same restriction. Odd.
7.) It would be nice to see the old 'alien entity floats into the sector and starts destroying stuff' type of events. It's not a bug, but would be nice to have.
I know I had a few more, but can't remember them right now. I'm going to download 1.11 and play some more this weekend, then I may have more to report.
I'd love to beta-test 1.2 this weekend if it could be made available for me.
Great game!
Thanks.
