Mouse problem

G5 with mousewheel

This isn't really a bugreport as it is more of a technical issue.
I'm also not sure if I should mail Logitech for this rather then post here, but I'll try here first.

My mouse recently broke down, and I bought me a new one, a fancy Logitech G5 mouse.
Now, the thing with the G5 is that the middlemousebutton (the scrollwheel) instead of just being 'push to click',
can be pushed to the left or right, as two seperate buttons. It's handy if you want to scroll to the left and right, for example.

The problem I now have is that GalCiv II recognised neither the left- or rightpress, and as such, I can no longer rotate in the game.
That's annoying when you're trying to design a ship, let me tell you.

I was wondering if someone here has had a same or similar issue, and could help me fix this.
Thanks.

I had the same problem in another game with the G5 mouse on the girlfriend's computer. So I used Logitech's Setpoint software to 'reprogram' the mouse so that tilting the wheel to the left was the same as pressing the middle mouse button [the scroll wheel can be pressed to activate the MMB but I found I couldn't reliably press it - it would almost always ended up tilting to the left or right]. Anywayz Setpoint's mouse button programming saved me from much frustration with not being able to use the MMB reliably - not to mention with the G5 [I only have a Logitech Mx518 on this computer] can save mouse settings for specific programs so you don't have to change the settings each time you want to play GalCiv2.

Hope this helps
