Disable Auto-Snap?

Please tell me I'm missing something...

When the game decides that I'm done with a ship or starbase, it snaps my camera to the oher side of the galaxy and I have to spend a few minutes locating what I was looking at again. For example, if I want to move a constructor and then build a starbase with it, I have to search that whole section of the galaxy before I can build because my camera went ten sectors west the moment I moved the constructor.

This "feature" is HORRIBLE. I spend a few minutes every day looking through my options menu hoping that I missed the ability to turn it off, but no luck...

Please tell me I'm just missing something obvious and that I can disable this awful mechanism!

Thanks, I hadn't taken time to look through this website thoroughly. I hope that patch comes out soon.

On the plus side, I'm becoming very good at locating things on large and confusing maps...
