Two Questions if anyone can answer please...

Rally Points and Metaverse Morph

Hiya everyone.

Been playing the game since GalCiv2 came out, and (I know this is dumb but..) I have never understood how to make rally points work. I have looked in the instruction manual and it is very vague about the whole thing. If anyone could explain this to me I would greatly appreciate it. Understand the concept.. just dont understand the mechanics to make it work within the game.

Second question... Has anyone experienced a "downsizing" of their Metaverse records. I have been running in the mid 30's for a long time. I got on today and saw that my records showed I was at 254... ACK! all of my game scores had been reduced! I thought ohh ok, this is them trying to fix all of those 1 game played 3 million points earned people. But when I clicked on some of the top ten individuals, their scores have seemingly not been touched or alterred. Anyone know whats up with this ?

Left click on the rally point button on the lower left of the main screen, then left click the spot on the map where you want the rally point to be. You will get a dialog box to name the rally point (if you want to change it) and choose the type of rally point (fleet, etc.)

There are various ways to send ships to rally points. If you can't figure that out maybe someone will help you.

Oh, on the second question they reviewed the games and reduced the scores substantially for anyone not using rally points.

but seriously they have rolled everyone's scores back and changed all the games retroactively so yes everyone has experienced it

The most direct way to send ships to a rally point is to go to the shipyard screen of a planet producibng a ship and next to the buy now button you'll see a rally point button. Click that and select the rally point from the list.

Alternatively in the Civilisation manager screen there is a rally point governor where you can switch things around like sending all ships going to X to Y.

On this note, can I make my ships come out of a planet differently? There are times when I would rather have them launch to the upper left than the lower right.
