How do you know Starbases are working?

I build an economic starbase, with the module that increases trade frieghter revenue by 10 bc/month. My capital is within its range, and I have a trade route that runs from my capital. Yet my home planet still says "no starbase bonuses" on the details screen and on the trade screen it gives my trade route an average of 6 bc/month. What gives? Where can I see if I am getting any benefit at all from my economic starbase? If there is no way to tell how do I know if I messed something up? Thanks! I forgot to mention that my trade revenue screen only shows the base trade, no bonuses.

im not sure about trade at all, if you want to see add a production mod to it and check that planet, if it says its getting a bouns for that (which i know it would if it works) then the trade bonus works too, i dont know about trade much so i dont know if it would show up anywhere. so thats how i know to check it

The bonus only applies while the mini-freighter is in the sphere of influence of the modded starbase. Wait until it is and the trade screen ought to show the increased value.
