cursor freezes

I have the same problem and have done everything else (updated drivers, throttle frame rate, reinstall latest version etc.) I notice especially while loading a saved game after exiting GC2.

Choose to use a Hardware mouse - it'll fix the problem.

How do I do this?

You can set hardware cursor in the game options. Did not work for me. I read in the known issues list that those who built their own computer with a fairly beefy video card may experience these lock ups. To that I can only say that the coding in the game is fundamentally poor and will require many patches to become stable. I have no issues with any other games crashing on my machine.

I have the same problem and it's really annoying. While the cursor may freeze, you can still move around an invisible mouse cursor, quick save the game and quit. Most astonishing part of it is that the mouse cursor is still invisible on the desktop and I've to restart the computer to get things going again. Happened to me about 5 or 6 times by now.

I'll try hardware cursor next time and see if there's no problems with that any longer.

It is a known problem with Nvidia cards, that you should use the hardware cursor option. And as far as I know, it is an Nvidia driver problem, not a Stardock problem.

So what if I don't have a Nvidia video card and yet still have the problem?

I tried the hardwear cursor but to no avail, but I wonder if maybe you just need to begin a new game to fix this, that changing to the hardwear cursor will not work with an already saved game

What kind of video card do you have? Post the info from your debug.err.

I juat added an extra 1 Gigt of RAM to my computer, thus tripling it

It solved the problem
