Turn button stops working

So, I've seen the bug where the turn button disapears a few times - no big deal. It always came back for me. This time, it didn't, so I tried a quick save and load. That brought the turn button back, but clicking it accomplishes nothing - it's like the click never really happens.

I have a save game I can email, but I thought I'd check for ideas here - I've checked for any ships with moves and etc. There aren't any. The Enter key, Spacebar, Tab - none of 'em help.
