How do Green and Purple Stars form?

Strange Star Types

I can understand Yellow, Red, Orange, White, and Blue Star Types

I can't seem to find any info on Green or Purple Stars anywhere can any of you?

btw Red stars should be Giants and White stars should be small and nothing inbetween.

Another question why no binary stars in the game?

Binary stars are so far apart that they're not really in the same system - they just move around each other. It'd also make placing a planet in the habitable zone very tricky.

About half of binaries have are separated by less than 7AU. For comparison, Jupiter is at roughly 5 AU while Saturn is at roughly 9 AU. Also, there is a decent population of close binaries, which have separations of less than an AU (they are closer together than the Earth and Sun are). So, the statement about binary stars not really being in the same system is false.

There is an interesting article on Space.com from about a year ago about habitable stars around binary stars that suggests that they are quite common, although that point is certainly debatable.

I've never seen any star in 1.1 even besides yellow with planets. ARE YOU SURE YOUR NOT THINING OF GC1?

Yes. PURPLES ARE +20, OK?

The point is not the binaries are implemented, it's getting the planets in place, and data handling. Remember, if you place more than 5 planets per system you're asking for trouble, and so binary star systems could cause some problems.

They said planets not stars. right so maybe Alpha Centauri is still possible

No they didn't. They were talking about reletive distance of planets in comparison of stars. However, my point was the Dev's said before release that 6 planets (or more) could crash the game constantly. Having binary stars, therefore effectively 10 planets a system with the implementation (or at least 6) is going to kill the game fairly quickly.

Marc think of it this way you don't have to have all 5 planets the other star could be a 5th planet thus only having Three total planets in a system the same goes for Trinary stars only two planets could be used. I think that having only a few planets in a system is possible like when you enable abundant stars and occasional planets and such.

What game are you guys playing? I have plays numerous games and the only stars that ever have any colonizable planets are yellow. Not even orange or red, but yellow.
