feature question

I know that I saw/heard that there was a new feature implemented post 1.1 where there is exists a planet screen where each bonus is itemized on it.. so by clicking on this button or whatever.. I would see my planet and get a sum total of all of the values/bonuses from the planet and the effects the each structure has on it, as well as empire bonuses and starbase bonuses etc...


if it's not there, then it definatelyt needs to be added...

wait longer...
yes i believe your talking about the summary or detail option... which has been there since the start its on the bottom next to done, when your in the planet screen.

The forum bug which neccesitates bumping has been explained to you before. Stop ragging on people about it.

On topic:

I don't think the summary/detail options give all that information. I think they give most of it though.

I will check it out, but the bump is needed because otherwise the post goes the way of inconsequential news story... nowhere...

oh my... for some odd reason.. I never clicked on those two buttons at the bottom of the planet display... thanks, now i kno wwhat they do.

Decided to bump an old thread.... because I have a few questions..



1) what is more efficient.. have a slider set to a higher setting on planetary or military production....??


so, if I have higher social production... and I an building a ship in the dock.. will it build faster then say having a higher military production.. because resources that aren't spent are instead rolled over into non research production?

2) which bonuses are planetary vs. racial... i.e. from planetary colonization events.. and from researched tech.. there is alot of stuff that isn't clear...

3) how is research really calculated... I have a planet that has some insane research values.. but when I emphasize the research only one week is taken off of the overall research time...


I have a few more, but I need to think them over a bit.

1) AFAIK, the automatic shifting of production between military and social when one of them isn't in use shouldn't give you any more than the total production spending any way you slice it, so just set your sliders so you're comfortable with the construction speed on the planets where you *are* doing both at once.

2) Colonization events are local. Tech bonuses are global, as are galactic resources, trade goods, and most wonders. Achievements/capitols vary and can be either local (Manufacturing Capitol) or global (Hyperion Miniturization).

3) Not sure about the exact research formula. Personally I don't worry about the small details so much, so you'll have to get someone else for that

Thanks kryo....

No one hardly updates the wiki anymore.... there is a new wonder, Nano researcher or robots or whatever... it's kinda kool.


I am wanting to add a few of my own that everyone can use including the AI... and I need to figure this out. I am starting to unravel carielf's modding guide... and I do not understand 3/4 of it.


One step at a time....


so.. the production stuff dones't matter... between military and social.... set it anyway I want.... as long as I like the results... that's good.


Alrighty.... time to test the theory.
