Automatic fleet

As i was loosing two planets in a game today, i was thinking.......wouldnt it be nice if the ships
could just automaticly "FLEET" together in orbit around a planet after you built them?I was in battles
allover the place and one tiny little mistake like not launching each ship and then fleeting them together
AND then putting them back into orbit and i practicly loose the game.Am i missing somthing?Isnt that
just a wee tad too much micro management?Perhaps in the next patch an option could be included.

yeah, what you do is set up a Rally Point and select the "Automatic Fleet" option. Ok, it may not be called that but it is pretty obvious which it is when you get to the RP screen.

Actually... even if you 'fleet' your ships, and then return them to orbit, unless you have the Planetary Improvement that *ALLOWS* Fleet Defense.. then your ships will be picked off one by one.

You cannot defend a planet with an orbital fleet unless you have one of the specific improvements built on the planet.
