Can computer players be custom races?

Yes, you can go into the GC2 directory area and modify the non MetaVerse data on computer players to your hearts content. So in that line of thinking the answer is YES the AI players can be customized.

that'd be way cool! I'd like to see my idea for a custom race in action as an AI just to see how it would behave

although, no idea about setting the specifics for the AI if it plays a custom race.

Weird i always thought that when i customised one of the standard races, and if i didn't wipe out the race.config files, it would become the standard... I suppose that's wrong?

it would be cool if you could do it in game rather than edit text in a file...
