Valuable Techs in the AI's eyes

Aiming this thread to be a listing of techs that we observe the AI to be really willing to shell out more money during trade.

Here's my own list:

Trade
Planetary Invasion
Basic Logistics
Medium Hulls

Anything else?

Any of the governement Techs. (Alliances, Republic, Democracy, Federation.)

They seem to highly value Xeno Ethics and Good and Evil as well.

Provided I am not at war or threatning them, I can buy most things with Alliances. I think that's the best bet for one-shot trades, as it is cheap, and you get it early, but doesn't make anyone too powerful.

Why don't thye research the governmental techs.... because they are always begging me and I tell them to F.off. I do not trade tech with the AI. I do not trust the AI to not trade the tech to other AI's. There has to be an option that they will only trade tech with allies of the same aliagnment. I just don't trust them.

I never trade government techs... for fear of alliances being used against me.

You can be sure they will do that. When you sell or trade a tyech you should sell or trade it to all.

I play tough and have not noticed a perticular rush from the AI to trade on tech. I frequently trade things with the minor races (who seem more inclined to give up more for less) and notice that a few turns on that stuff hasn't always filtered to the major races. I don't think it works like Civ3 when giving a tech to someone meant everyone would have it next turn. The AI must only trade tech tactically. As a side note it is a good tactic to trade trade goods with the minor races as it has a lesser impact but they value them just as highly.

I always hear people saying this, but I rarely saw this as the case. They do trade with each other, but the massive free-for-all that I always hear about never seems to happen. This is obvious, because when you meet a new race, they have completely different techs than the races around them. If they were free trading like I always hear, they wouldn't have such different technologies.

That being said, the other races will trade techs with each other so you should be carefull. I also do not trade government techs (Except Alliances) but it is because each give you huge bonuses that I don't need the other races to have. It will give me an advantage until they research them themselves.

I hated that in Civ 3 & Civ 4, and I hate it here.... it's a kinf of exploit in my mind...

If the dev's say this is the way it is.. I will start doing this then... I might have to disable tech trading altogether....
