Problem updating

Is there anyway to update the game without the internet? I'm downloading the update V1.11 from a different location and after I installed it on my GalCiv2 PC I tryed running the game and it asked me to input a serial code, so I did and an error message appeared.

I also saw something about a sig.bin file but I couldn't find it.
