The Fundamentalists?

Who are they?

When I was playing a game I wanted to see who the Torians were at war with. And thats when I saw they were at war with the Fundamentalists.???

There's no minor races( I killed them all) and I've never seen one of their ships. They might be like the pirates, but I've never seen pirates or Fundamentalists in all of my games.

So, What is up with this?

Dude do you ever read the reports? it could be:

Sometimes a civilisation with low morale loses the support of its planets and they break away...

or a terrorist minor race called the fundamentalists suddenly pop up and blow up planets reducing their PQ level dramatically. everyones got to take them out before they do too much damage etc etc.

the second is more likely.

The Fundamentalists are the population of colonies belonging to some of the "evil" civs.

It's a random event. When it happens, the population of an evil civ colony rebels and takes the whole planet with them. There's usually a number of planets that break away. They become a minor race, except that they start with several planets, all formerly belonging to the evil races. Usually it's there highest quality planets (or seems to be).

I once saw every single planet belong to the Drengin Empire break away. No more Drengin Empire.

In the 15 games or so I played I had 3 Uprise Civilizations.. All 3 died within 10 turns after. LOL.

I rember once the devs said that thier is a small chance of a Out of Galaxy Invasion from a Far Superior race. Wonder if thats true or they were just talking about the DreadLords.
