bad values for subspace blaster component?

possible oversight (v1.1)

Data from v1.1 GC2Types.xml:

(component name, cost, size, sizemod, damage)
"Phasors VII", 50, 6, 4, 5
"Disruptors", 65, 6, 4, 7
"Disruptors II", 65, 5, 4, 7
"Disruptors III", 70, 5, 4, 8
"Subspace Blaster", 60, 6, 4, 6
"Doom Ray", 150, 10, 4, 22

It looks like the Subspace Blaster component was given values intended to fall between "Phasors VII" and "Disruptors" (this is the order in the .xml file, actually), but in the research tree it falls between "Disruptors III" and "Doom Ray." As such, Subspace Blasters are wholly inferior to the weapons that precede them.

Also, there's a "Superior Duranthium" component in GC2Types.xml that isn't used in the game.

A funky 'bug'. You've really done your research on galciv2. A good find.

If there was GalCiv2 equivalent of Civilopedia, bugs like this would've been found long ago.

It's not supposed to be like that? I noticed that ages ago but thought it was supposed to be that way. Both of the two beam weapons between Disruptor III and Doom Ray are less powerful than the Disruptors.

EDIT -
Actually, now that I think of it, there's only one weapon, but two techs in between the two.

In theory subspace blasters are cheaper.....

Time and space warping to make things "dissapear" and the awful inferiority of such time and space warpings. Lovely.

Translated: I've noticed this, too. "WTF"?

The description for Subspace Annihilator says:
"The Subspace Annihilator is the Subspace Blaster but with a newly engineered crystal that can inflict massive beam weapon damage."
So they are both bugged. Subspace Blaster is a joke and Subspace Annihilator doesn't even exist.

It isn't only the beam-weapon line that is in need of some adjustments.
Here are some weird gun stats:

Technology Mass Drivers III gives both Railgun MK V and Railgun MK VI
(component name, cost, size, sizemod, damage)
"Railgun MK V", 22, 6, 5, 1
"Railgun MK VI", 22, 5, 5, 1
Pointless, either remove MK VI completly or make one of them better and much more expensive with another name.

Quantum Driver follows Graviton Driver IV
"Graviton Driver IV", 33, 4, 4, 3.....6 damage / 8 space.....18 damage / 24 space.
"Quantum Driver", 37, 8, 4, 4.....4 damage / 8 space.
"Quantum Driver II", 37, 7, 4, 4.....4 damage / 7 space.
"Quantum Driver III", 37, 6, 4, 4.....4 damage / 6 space.....16 damage / 24 space.
Quantum Driver I, II and III are all worse then Graviton Driver IV, their predecessor.

Yeah, someone else pointed out the strangeness of the quantum drivers vs graviton drivers.

What's wrong with the Railgun VI? It's one point smaller than its predecessor.

Both Railgun V and VI comes from the exact same technology, Mass Drivers III. No reason to use version V.
