Class 26 Planet

How often do these appear?

I came across a Class 26 planet last night while playing. I am currently sending a Colony ship towards it. I hope the Korx don't claim it before me! Anyways, I was curious as to how often these appear for others. Just Curious. Thanks!

I found one in my most recent game. Of course its not surprising in this paticular game because this galaxy has a ridicolous number of habitable planets. (The average number of habitable planets in systems with habitable planets seems to be two not to mention that more often then not systems seem to have habitable planets. Not to mention the system I found with 4 habitable planets.) Of couse I snached it up. Now the trick will be holding on to it.

Couldn't a planet theoretically go as high as Class 72?

There's a cap. After a certain point, every tile on the surface will be used up!

I've had them appear on my last 2 games
and I got them both times

There is actually no limit, the question is what good it does.

Using a planetary bonus of 5000% Mars becomes a nice class 162 planet, but there are still no more than 4 habitable squares.

Higher quality planets bestow morale bonuses and such, though.

In my last game, a random event went and pushed my homeworld up to PQ 30. The Yor still crushed me like a bug, but it was nice while it lasted.

Here is a link to a pic of a class 45 planet that I found. Someone found a class 72 planet as well.

I never have any per-cursor artifacts on high-class planets? wWhy is this? (Or is it just me?)

problem with high PQ planets is that they do not have additional tiles that are useful... so I have a pq 34 planet with only 25 useful tiles....

thats unfortunate that they dont have more tiles then, i almost always have at least one class 26 in my games, but still, they are quite fun to have.
