Is it possible to mod the difficulty levels?

At the moment i'm finding masochistic a bit too challenging on the maps settings i play unless i have a planet advantage from the start. And Crippling is way to easssssy!!! Is there a text file somewhere so i can alter the production bonuses the AI gets. Think Maso is 100% would like it if i could alter crippling to say 50%-60%% bonus.

Try setting the intelligence of the various races in your galaxy to different levels, instead of using the one overall setting for everyone.

Good to know there are others who also want this, I will post in the wishlist as well once i've found it.

I don't think you can do this anymore since they added the random difficulty levels. I had previously done this eg adding one or two maso opp's in a crippling game.
