Iconian Empire

Ok, I was recently playing a game with the Yor, and since I never got the Fundamentalists/I-League, I said let's give it a try. So I turn my taxes all the way up and got me a 1% approval, and I spent all my money. It's a matter of time, I said to my self... After a few turns, sure enough I get the following:

Now, I expected the Fundamentalists or the I-League, but these guys were evil, like me, and they are called The Iconian Empire? Now admittedly the Iconian Refuge had been in the game as well, and I wiped them out a few months ago (game time), and I think one of the planets that went under their control was the Iconian home planet.

Anyone got a similar thing? Or are the Iconians out to get me?!

By the way their leader name was not Iso the wise but some Earth name.

Maybe it's something to do with your home planet being Iconia?

Actually the leader of that minor civ the picture is taken (something on A?) does have name that it pritty human like.
Some Wilson or something?

I-League and Fundamentalists are created by events that you have no control over.
Low morale can have some of your colonies form their own empire with a random name. This time it was apparently using your homeworld's name.

Fundamentalists, and then I-League ? what it's all about !!!!!!!!! I never see that in the manual.
