65+ hours and still waiting for activation email

Is there anyone working at Stardock?

It's been 65-hours since my original request for an email activation file. I still have not received any updates. Thanks for the great cutomer service, NOT!!!

BTW, thanks for finally admitting there is a problem with your activation system. Unfortunately, what is blatantly missing from the outside of the retail box is 'Internet Connection Required'. You don't find this out until you open the box and read the manual; which by that time is too late to return the game to the retailer. Being x-ray vision impaired, I would think there are many others out there who suffer from the same deficit. On top of all that, I challenge anyone to truthfully admit to reading through the manual before ripping open the CD packaging for install just to see what the game looks like.

Tom,

Did you use your Yahoo email address when requesting the activation file? We're not seeing your email in our database, but will gladly look for it under another address. If you're still having troubles, please email me directly at [email protected] and we'll get your issues straightened out.

Thanks for your paticence.

Do you mean the 1.1 patch activation? I don't think you need to wait for an activation e-mail. I remember entering my e-mail address and serial number, and that was it. Just started up the game normally. Maybe you entered a different e-mail address from the one that you used to register on the site?

Activation/Internet isn't required if you buy the boxed version and wish to play the CD version. You only need it if you want to update the game.

Yeah, next time we do this we'll have to put something about "needing the internet for activating patches" on the box. We assumed that, since you GET the patch from the internet, this shouldn't be an issue, but it has been for some players.

On the bright side, we looked into the database and I think we got Gukamundo's problem sorted out Let's hope they're all as easy as a mismatch between email addresses

The game works without the patch Gook so saying "I dare anyone to read the manual before popping in the game" holds no weight. You can pop the game in and play it. Period. You don't need Internet connection.

Every game I ever had patched takes an Internet connection so you bashing Stardock on this is very amusing. Why don't you name me a game that you didn't need Internet connection to update?

Yes, they dropped the ball on a response. 65 hours since your original request - humm 48 hours for the weekend so really only 17 hours, or do expect someone to be working 24/7? Boy, don't buy a Sony game or an EA game or any game really.

Your rant is immature and wrong. Again, you only need Internet connection to update to a patch. The game is very playable without it.
