Problems with a used game

Hi there. I've bought the game from a guy who didn't liked the game. No I cannt get updates cause he has activated the game. If I type in the serial the system means that the serial not confirm with my email-adress.

I've bought the game with manual, cd, cover tech-tree-map ect.

Is that a joke from stardock that i cant get updates??? If someone doesn't like a game and he will sell it - the new owner couldn't play it.

how can i get the updates - how can i activate the game?

If I will registrate: please write a email with the old and new adress - but i dont know the old adress.....

Last year I bought a Dreadlord Collector Edition copy. Used.

I was shocked when I needed to active the game.

But the guy who sold it to me via ebay.ca was cool so he changed his email adress to mine and sent me all the password and info so I was able to change it.


The only problem is that I cannot change the "name" of the owner, even if it is my email adress.

So on my stardock info we can see I have like two account...weird thing.

If that's what you did then support won't be able to do anything for you. If you want to get control of your serial to get updates, you'll have to deal with your "friend" and see if you can get his account, then have support merge it with yours.

Sharing the game with other people who didn't buy it is piracy. Don't do it. If you want to show the game to them, show them on your own computer.

Piracy! i broke the law! ohh well... listen, i didn't know at the time that this game had an etire network of websites dedicated to this game. besides i'm not making a profit from it, it lent it out one to see if my game acctualy worked (i was having trouble installing on another computer) and turns out that you can play it without the disc so yeah. my friend really liked it said it was the best game he's played so far. didn't mean to piracy.
