Strange Graphics Error In Ships And Text After Upgrading To 1.1

I have a strange thing going on with GalCiv after upgrading to the latest patch. When I start, the menu has little white lines flying all over it, making the black text on the buttons (only, for some reason) have random parts flash in and out of existance as the lines go over them.

The same thing happens in game with many buttons. Additionally, the textures of many ships have random parts at strange angles, pieces jutting off into nowhere with horrendous stretching, and crazy 2d pieces intersecting eachother. I can take a screenshot if that's not clear enough. Planets have holes in them to the other side in strange geometrical patterns, as do suns.

My computer:
WIndows XP, SP2
Pentium 4 2.66GHz
1 Gb RAM
Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT Video Card, upgraded to latest Drivers (March 7th or so, IIRC)
2 Gb Paging File/Virtual Memory

Please post a screen shot and your debug.err file. This file is in your \program files\stardock\totalgaming\galciv2 folder

Apologies for image size, but I took four to show seperate things happening.
First Image: Text Occlusion On Main Menu

Second Image: Text Occlusion (Different Sort) On Startup And Game Screens

Note that these lines are constantly in motion and/or vanishing, making the text unreadable with all the pieces vanishing and reappearing many times per second.

Third Image: Strange Holes In Stellar Objects (also Text Craziness at bottom)

Fourth Image: Ship Textures Refuse To Obey Laws Of Physics Like Law-Abiding Citizens

I see three things you can try until you hear back from SD:

1) Update audio drivers if possible
2) Run with anti aliasing turned off
3) Run in full screen mode

Do you have same problem after trying these? If any of these do help, I'm betting on the AA setting.
None of those work, not even the Anti-Aliasing. Thanks for trying, though.

Helo? Stardock? Some people are vitally interested in getting Mister DuckofDoom back on his feet. He has a very important AAR to complete, and we are getting impatient. We do not like getting impatient, Stardock.

Consider yourselves chastised.

Massive Bump For Blast From The Past, Because I got the hankering to play some GalCiv and realized that even with the latest drivers this still occurs. I understand a bit of a wait on Tech Support but still... :\

Irregardless, bumping because it contains all requested information from Stardock and so it'd be silly to repost and waste bandwidth.

Double Post, sorry, but I keep getting errors while trying to edit in some information that might help.

If it's any help, this also occurs in the following games:
Silent Hunter III 1.3? (rendering it completely unplayable)
Dawn of War Winter Assault 1.6, occaisionally
Mount and Blade 0.751, very rarely and minorly

but not in the following
Defcon 1.0
Rome Total War 1.6 (as far as I know)
Hearts of Iron II 1.3b
Europa Universalis II 1.9

What seperates the first three from the last four I don't know, but it mix be texture complexity since all errors seem to be texture rendering related (the button letters included, I believe).

... And just when you think you're so clever and have done everything the obvious occurs, and thus a regrettable hat trick of posts:

The title says "1.1" since this is a rather old bug that hasn't gone away, and obviously my game isn't still 1.1.

I've updated to 1.40X.062, the current newest version, so no dice. Since I know some wise guy will suggest that based on the subject of the bumped post.

If you're experiencing the issue in other games as well, that would indicate it is a problem with your system rather than the game. If you haven't done so already, you may want to try using Driver Cleaner to purge all traces of driver cruft from your system, then get a clean install of the latest drivers. If that doesn't cure it, I'd be suspecting a hardware issue myself. If you have a spare video card or know someone who has one, it'd be worth a shot trying swapping it out.

I think we've had one other user report this issue before, but I don't recall if Driver Cleaner fixed it (I think it did, or at least he didn't reply anymore after that I can recall).
