Autopilot problem?

I always thought for a ship on auto-pilot, it moved at the beginning of the turn.
That way if there were left over moves, "find" would show it. I am now noticing
that auto-pilot only moves at the end of the turn and if it has left over moves, it loses
them.

Is that how it works? I saw an earlier post a month or so ago on this. If it does move
at the end of the turn, I guess you have the option of turning off the auto-pilot and go
somewhere else. But if I understand it right and it moves at the end of the turn, you
may lose moves.

I am using the latest patch 1.1.

BTW is there a place in the program where it shows what patch you are using?

If you look in the options, Interface I think, you will see an option to skip or not skip ships who have turns left over after auto-move. If you are loosing move points, then select or de-select this option, whichever is needed (I don't remember the exact option wording. I set it so it wouldn't skip in my first game and have not needed to adjust it since.)

Yep, that fixed it. Auto-pilot is at the end. But if you fix it in the menu, you don't lose moves.
